Downtown....

So B* had Monday off so that he could recoup from our family reunion and we decided to spend the day downtown. We had a lot of fun! K* especially loved feeding the pigeons while C* really enjoyed running around. After spending a while at the circle we ventured through town and ended up at the canal where we enjoyed a paddle boat ride----

enjoy the sites from our adventure!

I know you must be wondering where the pics from the reunion are....well....I haven't had a chance to go through all 828 of them....hehe! I suppose I was a little camera happy!

Coincidence or Godincidence? You decide!

I was reading an article this morning in my Popular Photography Magazine and am amazed at how our Lord works.....the writer was given an assignment to write an article
"The Photographer's Guide to the Eye". The writer was personally fighting a personal battle with Hodgkin's Lymphoma which had caused severe dry eyes- he went on to say that his eyes had not produced tears in three years causing enormous amounts of pain. So while he was doing research for his assignment he came across an article that spoke of a treatment/study overseas that uses the plasma(serum) from your red blood cells mixed with a saline solution to produce a customized eyedrop to sooth the pain of the dry eyes. At the end of the article he talks about what a miracle it was that he was chosen to write the article which would lead him to find a treatment to his own sufferings.

So he never gives God credit in black and white but as I finished reading the article I smiled for having been witness to one of God's many miracles:)

If you want to read the article by John Owens- it's on pg 14 of the August 2008 issue of Popular Photography.

Happy 4th.....a little late.....

So I have realized that I don't like blogging without pictures.....is that crazy?

I don't know what my problem is but for some reason I feel as though everyone is more interested in pictures of my kids than reading what I have to write! So here are a few shots of the family spending time with our dear friends for the holiday!

As you can see- C* did NOT like the fireworks. Ok- that is a little bit of an understatement! He was TERRIFIED of them....I'm talking screaming, crying, covering his ears, and literally shaking! It was so funny- well, not funny but cute....you know what I mean! It was better when we went to watch the show after sunset but when B* and our friend K* were letting them off in the backyard- wow- you would have thought we were torturing him! We had a good time with our ex-neighbors and feel so blessed to have them in our lives! They have become our extended family- we spend Christmas, New Years, Easter, and the Fourth together every year! It is so nice to know that we have "family" here in Indiana:) Let's just hope they forgive us for last night.....I'll fill you in later- but for now I have errands to run!

Sad:(

Those of you that haven't heard- we miscarried:( Just as we were getting used to the idea of another baby we lost it. I don't want anyone to feel sad for us as I know that God has a plan and no matter what that is we will continue to be happy and grateful to have been blessed with two amazing kids! I know that having had so many of you thinking and praying for us has helped to dull the pain. It's funny because I've always known how much I love K and C but never knew that I would feel so much sadness losing a baby that I wasn't expecting?! Anyway- we are not going to "try" for another as I know that if we are meant to have more children we will. I struggle with remembering that it's "God's plan" and not mine! Thanks for all of the love and support.

Starting to sink in.....

Well- I think it's finally starting to sink in! I am very excited and yet equally nervous! I feel like I'm not the most organized person with two kids and I just can not imagine having three! I know, I know- yes I did watch two little girls that were just a few months younger than C* so realistically I should be able to handle it.....but- I won't be able to give two of them back to anyone at the end of the day!!!
I have been on the hunt for a new ob/gyn and hope to find someone that I will be comfortable with. I wasn't impressed with the doctor that delivered C* and the doc that I have gone to recently is clear over in *ville. She is very nice but with the way gas prices are I think I'd like to find someone closer. Well, I should go I have MANY sessions to proof!

The Whole Story.......for those of you that didn't figure it out with the previous post!

So every Thursday I go to meet with my church group(if you haven't been to CRHP----you should go- you totally won't regret it!)-

Oh yeah- back to the story-

It's Thursday May 15th and my day has been nothing out of the ordinary. I make my way to the church and as I walk in one of the other ladies approaches and asks me if did myself up for them(which I hadn't)?! So then- through out the evening a few more women tell me how nice I look?! I'm blushing by now and tell everyone "thanks, I got my hair cut last weekend and obviously it was a good move"......so later on in the evening as we are chatting away(remember it is a room full of women so chatting is what we do best- he he) and one of the women chimes in to tell me how nice I look----ok now I really am bright red because I have now had a half dozen of my CRHP sisters compliment me(I was thinking that there must have been an email that I missed that told everyone to lift me up! Then the lady next to her(I will keep her identity secret- but for the sake of the story- I will call her *Marie*) adds "You're pregnant!"
Totally and completely shocked by *Marie's* statement I reply with "I better not be!" and of course all the other women start commenting about how I was glowing and everyone's laughing, etc. etc. and we then move on with the evening and I think nothing more of *Marie's* prediction. That is until I leave.....then it hits me.....*Marie* had commented at one time that she has predicted like 5 pregnancies before and has been right every time! So now I'm a little concerned.....but then I remind myself that it would be WAY to early to tell and this would be the time that *Marie* was wrong! Well, it was still on my mind a week later, so I ended up buying a test.....ok so it was more than one----(keep in mind that I should NOT even think about being pregnant until May 31), so- I proceeded to take one on the 23rd- negative, the 24th- negative, the 25th- negative.....so I go on with life and aside from the horribly vivid nightmares(which I also had with my first two pregnancies)there was NO reason to think I was pregnant....right? Then on Sunday night- one of the neighbor's asks when Brian and I are going to have another baby and we explain that we are done- perfectly happy with one of each and then he says "No- I think you'll have another one- actually I think you're going to have twins". Now I'm thinking "Thank goodness I took all those tests and they were all negative because I definitely couldn't handle twins! So our cookout winds down and we go to bed. Then yesterday morning (around 6am) I woke up from another bad dream and decided that it was to coincidental that I keep having nightmares and got up to take the last pregnancy test that I had......and although the line was faint it was there, instantly! So after keeping my little secret all day yesterday I took the easy way out of telling my husband by letting our kids tell him! While he was gone- I made the shirts and right before bed they put them on.......B*'s reaction was so funny-----I was still in C*'s room getting him ready "for bed" when I hear K* ask B* if he liked her shirt? Then I hear her ask him if he read it(I used her "I'm the big sister shirt" from when C* was born and added the words to make it say "I'm going to be the big sister again!")----then I hear Brian repeatedly saying "What?" "Is this a joke?" By now C* and I are in the hallway and Brian is soaking in C*'s shirt which reads (front)"Dad- Do you think Feb. 7th will be the day?" (back)"Maybe we should let the baby decide!" So B* then started asking if this was an April fools joke and I reply "Is today April 1st?" Finally, I went and got the test and showed B* and then he asked "How did this happen?" So I told him that I would give him his science lesson "after we put the kiddos to bed!"

So are you wondering why I kept *Marie's* identity hidden? Because she is good! Can you imagine how many people would be pounding down her door? She would be predicting pregnancies right and left! I am baffled......for me this proves that there is a God- not only did she tell me I was pregnant before my body knew but this MUST be the reason our house didn't sell! I am so thankful that we didn't downsize as we had no idea our family was going to expand! Well, I need to go finish my laundry and get to bed- hope you enjoyed the story!

Hidden Meaning?

I know I am the world's worst blogger....but hey I'm trying! Did everyone have a good Memorial Day? We had a cookout with some friends on Sunday evening and let me tell you.....if you like to spend time outside you MUST invest in an outdoor propane heater! Ours is WONDERFUL! Anyway, just thought I would post a few pics of the kiddos I took tonight-----sorry, the pictures aren't the best but I thought they were cute! It's so nice to get pictures of them together as we all know siblings won't always get along!
