Hidden Meaning?

I know I am the world's worst blogger....but hey I'm trying! Did everyone have a good Memorial Day? We had a cookout with some friends on Sunday evening and let me tell you.....if you like to spend time outside you MUST invest in an outdoor propane heater! Ours is WONDERFUL! Anyway, just thought I would post a few pics of the kiddos I took tonight-----sorry, the pictures aren't the best but I thought they were cute! It's so nice to get pictures of them together as we all know siblings won't always get along!

The Mini

I forgot to share that I finished the mini marathon. Not only did I finish but I ran farther than I thought I could. I ended up finishing the race in 3 hours 2 minutes and 2 seconds- having ran 10 out of the 13.1 miles! I really felt very good and I think that I could have ran the entire race only my knee gave out and although I tried a few times I just couldn't run anymore....but hey- I not only did I meet my goal but I exceeded my expectations! Thanks for checking in on us(sorry I am such a bad blogger!)-

Playing with Dad......

Aside from a little wind- this past Saturday was a beautiful and BUSY day-
I got up around 6am to go work the MOPS garage sale, to race home to get the kiddos to go to K*'s school for the Beach Bash, and when we finally got home K* headed to the neighbor's house to play and B* and C* played ball in the backyard. Although I was extremely exhausted- I couldn't pass up the opportunity to capture my boys enjoying each other's company. C* has definitely inherited B*'s athletic ability and loves to play any sport you offer. I hope you enjoy the pics of them playing soccer and football- I was going to include the baseball pics as well but decided it was a little overkill! Enjoy!

C* LOVES playing sports with Dad!
Hut, hut, hike-
Daddy kept tackling C*....
Soccer was a LOT of fun too!

Don't worry- it looks worse than it was....C* loved to dive for the ball- I think C* will make a great goalie someday!
I'm not sure but I think that if I could have read C*'s mind at this time he would've been thinking "Ok- Mom- enough pictures already- can't you see how hot and tired I am?"

Pictures from St. Patty's Day....

We started out with the green shamrock pancakes that dad always makes......

Then we headed downtown for the parade.....
These are just a few of the pictures that I took while downtown at the St. Patrick's Day Parade. We had a such a great time as usual- it was a little chilly
but we survived!

After the parade we made our way to O'Charley's and enjoyed a nice lunch- it was a great day!

Our little meerkat.....

Miss K* absolutely adores meerkats! If you haven't watched the show on animal planet- it's a must see in K*'s book- she would watch Meerkat Manor all day if we let her. Anyway, her grandparents knew how much she wanted a meerkat costume and because we were unable to find one they hired a seamstress to custom make K* her very own meerkat costume. Well, I don't have the best picture just yet of our little meerkat but here's what I snapped on Easter morning.....her reasoning for wearing her costume Easter morning was because she was "cold" although I think she would have told me anything to let her wear it! Hopefully the Easter bunny won't mind-

Did you know meerkats ate chocolate bunnies? Well, I guess they do now!

slacker!!!!

Ok, I know that I have been a major slacker this past month:( Sorry- life has been busy. I promise to post pics soon- I have been keeping busy with photoshoots, MOPS, Bible study, volunteering in K*'s classroom, our 2nd annual pajama party sleepover, the St. Patty's day parade, hosting Easter dinner with friends, and training for the mini-marathon.

Well, I really just started my training and after today I am very proud of myself! So up til now I had been walking a 1/4 mile, running 1 mile, walking a 1/4, running 1 mile, and then walking for another 1/2 mile......let's just say that this wasn't an easy task- I am definitely out of shape! So onto the good news- today I decided to start out walking a tenth of mile and then going into my run......as I approached completely my first mile I decided that I would see if I could make it 1.5 miles before walking.....then as I approached that goal I upped it to 2 miles.....so by the time I had consecutively ran 2 and 3/4 miles I upped my speed and completed a total of 3 miles followed up with an additional 1/4 mile walk to cool down! Can you believe it? I ran 3 miles without stopping?! I honestly think that I could have gone farther but the gym's childcare closes at 1pm so I had to stop to get C*! Anyway, I know it probably isn't as interesting to the rest of you but I really feel good about exceeding my goals today- it gives me a little hope that maybe I CAN finish the 13 mile mini this May!

Scrapbooks, scrapbooks, and more scrapbooks!

So, K* is playing hookie from school today- She woke up with a pink watery eye and although at the doctors appointment this morning it was decided that she doesn't have "pink eye" her eyes were a little pink and the doctor gave us the drops just in case. So when we got home and I saw the email from her teacher saying that she has pink eye I decided to keep K* home and start the drops just to be safe- I talked with the nurse and let her know about K*'s teacher and she agreed that K* should stay home and we should treat her as though she does have pink eye because it's so highly contagious and if her teacher has it- than this probably is the start of it with K*. So I thought that because C* wanted to "cut" paper and K* wanted to use my heart punches to do her own craft- this was the perfect opportunity for me to go through all of my scrapbooks to figure out what layouts need to be finished and which ones still need to be started. So in the process- both kids lost total interest in their own activities and joined me at the other end of the table to look at the albums......it was a lot of fun going back through and looking at how sweet my babies were/are! I just can't believe how big they are:( So my advice is to go get your scrapbooks, baby books, photo albums, turn on the computer on open those digital files- whatever you have go back and look at your life....you and your kids will love the time together reminiscing about yesteryears! Are you still reading this....come on get off your tush and go look at pictures! Trust me- you and your kids will love every minute of it!
