My nephews graduation party

We had a great time today visiting with family. The kids had fun riding in the golf cart, playing in the sand and on the playground, running from Brian's rc car, etc. Days like today make me miss living close to my family :( Here are a few images from our day-

Huh- I wonder if anyone will notice that I posted these the same day that I took them? Or if they will notice that I posted pics before my sisters? Haha- don't get used to it...I still haven't posted pics from our trip :)

Starting out great....

So here I sit in our hotel room at Kidani Village, one of the fabulous resorts at Disney's Animal Kingdom. Our trip started a few days ago at Aunt Cindy and Uncle Kip's home. To say they were gracious hosts is quite the understatement! They welcomed our family into their home and treated our kids like their own. While at their house, we enjoyed swimming in their pool, catching frogs/lizards, and going on a alligator hunt! We got to see two baby gators and their momma! Kiara had a great time catching little lizards and a tiny tree frog! Cavan has become quite the fish...he spent the entire day splashing around either in the pool or hot tub. And then there's Miss Fi, she had a great time as well, she made herself at home running through the house, playing with the dog, and just winning the hearts of all with her gorgeous little smile. Cindy and Kip invited the cousins over to join us on Saturday for a Memorial Day cookout - you should have seen the spread - there was soo much food and it was all soo good! I'm sure Shawn T.(from Insanity) would not have approved of Brian and I's choices - but hey - we are on vacation! Anyway, I'm getting sidetracked...so we were very fortunate to spend the afternoon/evening with Ryan, Caroline, and Molly(their new spaniel); Cindy, Kip, and Kyla(their golden); Matt and Erin with their 3 kids Peyton, Colin, and Avery; Kevin and Sam and their little girl Kelsey; Brian and Kelly, MaryBeth and Bella(her dog...can't remember what kind!) and two of Cindy and Kip's friends...unfortunately I can't remember their names. We enjoyed a lazy morning this morning and enjoyed having time to visit while Cavan and Kiara swam. We finally got on the road to head to Disney around 2pm. When we got to Kidani Village, we unpacked, took pictures of the animals(zebras, giraffes, etc.), and then we went swimming. We ended up ordering "room service" from the pool, ate pool side and watched the movie The Rescuers under the stars. Kiara swam during much of the movie...she's our other little fish! So...that's it for now. Hopefully I'll be able to post pics soon :) We have a busy week ahead of us....you know full of lounging by the pool, relaxing in the hot tub, maybe a little shopping downtown Disney, etc. The week has started off so great...I don't see how it can get any better :D I hope it will go by very slowly!

First Game

We finally had our first game today! It should have been our 4th, but the weather has NOT cooperated! The kids had a lot of fun and they did really well - especially considering we haven't had practices or a game for two weeks! Cavan took a line drive to the thigh at the end of the game - he was tough and didn't cry but it made me really worried! He has to have surgery in June to remove an umbilical cyst as well as close up an umbilical hernia, so I was very relieved that the ball got him in the thigh and not the stomach! He fell to the ground and I couldn't tell at first where he got hit so I panicked internally for a second!

Easter 2011

Our Easter plans had to change last minute but we still had a nice day. Kiara ended up getting sick and when the motrin wore off she was miserable until it kicked in again. The kids had fun finding their baskets, having an egg hunt, and then playing a few "minute-to-win-it" themed games.

C's Birthday Cake

We are having a bowling party to celebrate C's 5th birthday! I decided to make the cake myself :) I carved a bowling pin cake and then made bowling ball cupcakes to go with it! Hopefully C* will appreciate the effort I've put in to make his day special :) I'm certain that B* appreciates all of my hard work as the cake/cupcakes cost less than $5 verses the $50 it would have cost at the bakery!

She's a FOURTH grader!!!!

Yes- you read that right! K* started her first day of fourth grade today! I can't believe just how fast she is growing up :( I am so proud of what a beautiful, smart, sensitive young lady she is becoming but at the same time I miss having her home with me....summer just isn't long enough!
